While I take a few weeks off, we will be sharing some old favourite summer newsletters from the last ten years of recipes. This one is a throwback to last summer.
Breakfast is my favourite meal. These days, on weekdays, it's mostly quick pancakes and fruit, or fruit, toast and jam. Today it was pancakes American-style, but made with wholemeal flour (because it's not quite the weekend) and the fruit was peaches, apricots, strawberries and raspberries. All peak. All British. Even the peaches. Thanks Summer.Â
At the weekends we make other things. This French toast, or tofu scramble. Both can be done in less than 30 mins and are definitely more of a brunch situation.
The chia bowls are a good thing to make and keep in the fridge for breakfast for the next couple of days. The roast strawbs are the only way to use up any less-than-perfect squishy strawbs.Â
