I am sure your most recent guest is a wonderful chef and a great human being (or else you likely wouldn't be having him into your sphere) however I do need to respectfully disagree with his comment about the genocide he indicates his people are being subject to. I am aware there is a lengthy and complex history going back centuries to the Ottomans and the Brits and the UN and Arab neighbors and many other aspects however I simply cannot ignore the simple fact that a free election was held and a group of terrorists were selected as the rulers of his people's land. That is simply crazy - how could any sane society vote to do that to themselves, and how could there not be repercussions from this vote in terms of quality of life for his people both from the current rulers and from outside forces? Seems to me the situation is not a simple as he implied. Anyway, thanks again for all your great food inspirations.
